About AchaWaqat

Our mission

AchaWaqat was created to make evidence-based clinical calculators, research tools and medical learning games freely available to healthcare professionals, researchers and students worldwide. Every tool is built on published, peer-reviewed methods and designed to be fast, clear and practical at the point of care or study.

Founder and maintainer

AchaWaqat is founded and maintained by Dr. Taimoor Asghar, a medical doctor, researcher and data scientist based in Lahore, Pakistan, and affiliated with Azra Naheed Medical College (ANMC). He has completed over 14 specializations in data science, biostatistics, clinical trials and epidemiology, and has authored six peer-reviewed publications spanning self-medication, first-aid awareness, depression assessment, mindfulness, AI in oncology and male mental health.

Dr. Asghar’s other projects include the DoctorWithData research suite, medical education games and Goethe practice tests.

Editorial and review standards

Every calculator, scale and article on AchaWaqat references its original source, shows the formula or method used, and is reviewed against current evidence. We publish corrections transparently when improvements are identified. See our Editorial Policy, Medical Review Policy and Corrections Policy.

Funding

AchaWaqat is independently maintained. The site is supported by display advertising through Google AdSense and by Dr. Taimoor Asghar’s personal time and resources. Advertising does not influence editorial content or tool selection.
