Margalla College of Dentistry was established in the heart of Rawalpindi in 2002, aiming to deliver excellence in dental education and produce competent oral health professionals. Over the years, the college has grown exponentially, becoming a center of excellence for dental education and practice in the region. Curriculum
The college offers a four-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program accredited by the Pakistan Medical Commission. The curriculum adheres to international standards, emphasizing both theoretical and practical aspects of dental medicine. Students undergo rigorous coursework covering subjects like anatomy, oral biology, pharmacology, oral pathology, and dental materials, among others.
In the later years, the focus shifts to hands-on training, with students gaining clinical exposure under the supervision of experienced faculty members. They engage in comprehensive patient care, including oral diagnosis, treatment planning, preventive dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, and prosthodontics, amongst others.

Admission Process
Admissions open annually, usually in October. Candidates must pass their Intermediate Science (FSc pre-medical) examination or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks. They must also clear the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) conducted by the Pakistan Medical Commission.
International students can apply under the overseas quota. They must pass their A-Level or equivalent examination and the SAT II test. The application form can be accessed from the official website, completed, and submitted along with required documents and the application fee.
Tuition and Other Costs
As of 2023, the tuition fee for the BDS program is approximately PKR 1,200,000 per annum. This fee does not include costs for accommodation, food, and other personal expenses. The college provides various scholarships and financial aid options to deserving and financially constrained students.
