- Dose adjustment needed in renal impairment
- Can be administered without regard to meals
- Do not stop abruptly - risk of rebound seizures
- Drug interactions are minimal (not metabolized by CYP450)

Oral solution: 100 mg/mL. Tablets: 250 mg, 500 mg, 750 mg, 1000 mg. IV formulation available and equivalent to oral dosing. Well-tolerated with minimal drug interactions.
