⚠️ Warnings & Contraindications
- HEPATOTOXICITY: Do not exceed maximum daily dose; do not use with other acetaminophen-containing products
- Verify concentration of product before dosing - infant drops differ from children's liquid
- Check all cold/flu medications for hidden acetaminophen
- Overdose antidote: N-acetylcysteine (NAC) within 8 hours of ingestion
- Rectal suppository bioavailability is approximately 50-60% of oral; adjust dose if needed
- Antipyretic effect lasts 4-6 hours; may alternate with ibuprofen if needed (consult physician)
ℹ️ Clinical Notes
Infant drops: 80 mg/0.8 mL (concentrated). Children's suspension: 160 mg/5 mL. Chewables: 80 mg, 160 mg. Many countries limit max daily dose to 60 mg/kg/day or 3 g/day for children.
